Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of this website and enrolment in The Solid Shell's courses.
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Solid Shell, a proprietorship based at Shubham Plaza, 401 / 4th Floor, above Mr. DIY, Badlapur (East) – 421503, Maharashtra, India. By using this website, booking a demo lecture, or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to enrol in any course. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Our courses
- All courses and demo lectures are conducted in our classroom at the Badlapur academy address above.
- For colleges and institutions, we conduct workshops and free demo sessions at their premises.
- Course content, schedules, batch timings and faculty are subject to change; we will inform enrolled students of material changes in advance.
4. Enrolment and fees
- Enrolment happens offline at our institute. By enrolling, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to all terms and conditions.
- Course fees and payment schedules are agreed with you at the time of enrolment and documented in your admission record.
- We accept payment by UPI, card, cash, bank transfer or cheque.
- Fees must be paid according to the agreed terms. If fees are not paid as agreed, we reserve the right to withhold job assistance and the course completion certificate until dues are cleared.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: a 50% refund is available if you registered but your batch has not started; no refund is available once the batch has started.
6. Job assistance and certification
- We provide 100% placement assistance to our students: resume building, interview preparation, referrals where available, and career guidance.
- Placement assistance is not placement assurance. We never guarantee employment or placements to any student.
- Placement assistance is provided according to student performance — including attendance, lab work, assessments and conduct during the course.
- The course completion certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course requirements and full payment of agreed fees.
7. Code of conduct
As a student, you agree to:
- Use lab systems, tools and techniques taught in class only on systems you own or are authorised to test.
- Not engage in any unauthorised access, disruption or misuse of computer systems.
- Behave respectfully towards faculty, staff and fellow students. We may suspend or terminate enrolment for misconduct, without refund, where the batch has started.
8. Student declaration — ethical use of training
Our courses include offensive security training — techniques, tools and methodologies that must only ever be used lawfully and ethically. Every enrolled student makes the following declaration on admission:
- I, the undersigned, hereby declare that the information provided by me during the admission process is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
- I have voluntarily applied for admission to the course offered by The Solid Shell.
- I understand that admission is subject to fulfillment of the institute's requirements and policies.
- I agree to maintain discipline, professionalism, and respectful conduct towards trainers, staff members, fellow students, and institute property.
- I understand that regular attendance is essential for successful completion of the course. Repeated absenteeism may affect my learning experience and eligibility for course completion requirements.
- I acknowledge that course materials, presentations, recordings, labs, assignments, notes, and training content provided by The Solid Shell are proprietary intellectual property and shall not be copied, distributed, sold, published, or shared without prior written permission.
- I agree not to record training sessions, reproduce course content, or distribute educational material to any third party without authorization.
- I understand that fees paid towards registration, admission, training, examinations, study materials, or other services shall be governed by the institute's fee policy.
- I agree to follow all academic, administrative, and operational guidelines communicated by the institute from time to time.
- I understand that course completion certificates may be issued only upon satisfying the attendance, project, assessment, and course completion requirements prescribed by the institute.
- I acknowledge that completion of a course does not guarantee employment, internships, certifications from external organizations, or placement opportunities.
- I agree to use institute facilities, systems, labs, and resources responsibly and ethically.
- I agree to use the offensive security techniques, tools and methodologies taught during the course only on systems I own or am expressly authorised to test, and never for any unlawful or unethical purpose.
- I understand that any misconduct, disruptive behavior, academic dishonesty, harassment, misuse of resources, or violation of institute policies may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of enrollment.
- I release and discharge The Solid Shell, its management, trainers, and representatives from any liability arising from my misuse of course knowledge, tools, software, or techniques taught during the training program.
- I have read, understood, and voluntarily accepted the terms and conditions mentioned above.
9. Intellectual property
Course materials, brochures, presentations, lab exercises and website content are the property of The Solid Shell. You may use them for your own learning, but you may not reproduce, distribute or sell them without our written permission.
10. Website use
- The enquiry, demo booking and brochure forms must be filled with your own genuine details.
- You must not misuse the website, attempt to disrupt it, or access areas you are not authorised for.
- Brochure downloads are for your personal evaluation of our courses and are issued through a gated, time-limited link.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Solid Shell is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or participation in our courses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the course in question.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Thane, Maharashtra.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the website or enrolment after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. College sessions — photography and recording
We photograph and record the sessions we conduct at colleges and institutions, for use on our website, social media and promotional material. These Terms — including this clause — apply to every session we conduct. Institutions are expected to read these Terms before inviting us to campus; an invitation is taken as confirmation that the institution has seen and accepted them. We request that the institution inform its students in advance that photography and recording will take place.
