1. Who we are

The Solid Shell is a proprietorship based at Shubham Plaza, 401 / 4th Floor, above Mr. DIY, Badlapur (East) – 421503, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), The Solid Shell is the Data Fiduciary — the entity that decides how and why your personal data is processed.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect only the data you give us directly, through:

Contact and enquiry forms — name, email address, phone number, and your message.
Demo lecture bookings — name, age, email address, phone number, and the lecture you chose.
Brochure downloads — name, email address, phone number, and the course you are interested in.
College session requests — college name, contact person's name and designation, email address, phone number, and expected student count.
Enrolment at the institute — details you share during offline admission, including fee and batch records.

We do not collect sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above, and we do not buy or rent personal data from third parties.

3. Why we collect it (purpose)

To respond to your enquiries and demo lecture bookings.
To send you the brochure you requested and follow up about the course.
To coordinate college workshops and demo sessions.
To administer enrolment, batches, fee records, certificates and job assistance.
To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We use your data only for the purpose you shared it for, or for a closely related legitimate purpose. We never sell your personal data.

4. Consent

Where the law requires your consent — for example, before you download a brochure — we ask for it clearly, in plain language, through a checkbox you tick yourself. Consent is always optional to read this website, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@thesolidshell.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we lawfully did with your data before the withdrawal.

5. Who we share your data with

Your enquiry records are maintained in our own database and in Zoho CRM, which we use to manage enquiries. We do not share your data with any other third party for marketing. Data may be disclosed only where required by law or a lawful government order.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data for 2 years from collection, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is earlier. Fee and enrolment records may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

Access — ask what personal data we hold about you.
Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion — ask us to erase your personal data.
Grievance redressal — raise a complaint and get a response.
Nominate — nominate someone to exercise your rights if you are unable to.

Our courses require students to be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.
